But there are subtle differences among them. McCartney’s 1962 Casino has a Bigsby tailpiece and a Gibson-style “open book” headstock; whereas Lennon and Harrison’s 1965 Casinos both have Epiphone’s “hourglass” headstock. Harrison’s guitar boasts a Bigsby, while Lennon’s came with a trapeze tailpiece. I have an Epiphone Casino Coupe, which sounds wonderful unplugged and plays really well. Unfortunately, plugged in it sounds dull and muddy. I don’t have much experience with fully hollow body guitars, so not sure if that’s just what they tend towards. Or, whether it’s the brass pickup covers, or just crap pickups. I bought a Casino Coupe a few months ago. I tried many full sized and many coupes before I made the purchase. I play a lot past the 12th fret and there's a lot more access to the higher frets. Epiphone Casino Coupe VS. Electric Guitar Legendary casino with ES-339 body, Body design: Hollow body, Body: Laminated maple, Set-in mahogany. Guitar players: Epiphone Casino Coupe or Epiphone ES-339 P90 Pro? So for my next guitar purchase, I really want a hollow/semi-hollow body guitar. At first I planned on getting the Sheraton II, but I am a pretty small teenager (5'5') and realized that regular sized semi-hollows look enormous on me.
